Sell your Ford F-150
To sell a Ford F-150 on AutoHouseIQ, start with the VIN, confirm the cab style, bed length, engine and trim, then add photos and an honest condition record. Dealers approved by our team bid against your reserve in a time-boxed auction, and you choose whether to accept.
Updated
Which F-150 you have
The F-150 has been built in Regular Cab, SuperCab and SuperCrew forms, with more than one bed length, two- or four-wheel drive, and engines ranging from V6 and turbocharged EcoBoost units to V8s, the PowerBoost hybrid and the all-electric Lightning. Two trucks of the same year and trim can be very different vehicles, so the VIN decode is the starting point and you confirm the rest.
What to photograph and record
Photograph the bed floor and tailgate, the hitch and any towing equipment, all four tires, and the underside where you can safely see it. Record towing packages, bed liners, tonneau covers, leveling or lift kits and aftermarket wheels exactly as they are. A dealer bids on the truck that is described, so anything left out cannot be part of anyone's bid.
Records worth finding first
Service records, the title (or your lender's details if the truck still has a loan on it), every key, and paperwork for work on the four-wheel-drive or towing systems. You can check the VIN for open recalls on the NHTSA website before you list, so the record a dealer sees is complete rather than surprising.
Start with your F-150's VIN
AutoHouseIQ currently operates in the United States, and sellers and dealers can register from anywhere in the US. Live trading opens as enough dealers approved by our team are ready, so registering does not mean auctions are live in your area yet. Additional countries may open later.
Ford F-150 questions
- Can I sell an F-150 with a lift kit or other modifications?
- Yes. Record each modification plainly in your Vehicle Passport, with photos. Dealers decide what a modification is worth to them; AutoHouseIQ does not estimate it or suggest that it adds value.
- Is an F-150 Lightning sold the same way?
- Yes, through the same journey. Also record the charging equipment that comes with the truck and the range it currently displays, so dealers bid on its actual state rather than an assumption.
Selling on AutoHouseIQ
- Is AutoHouseIQ a dealer?
- No. AutoHouseIQ is a neutral platform that connects private sellers with dealers approved by our team. It is never the buyer or the seller of a vehicle.
- What happens if nobody bids or the reserve isn't reached?
- There is no sale. You set the reserve, so you are never obliged to sell below it. If the reserve isn't reached, you can relist, adjust or talk through your options with our team.
- How does AutoHouseIQ make money?
- AutoHouseIQ charges a platform fee to the participating dealer on a successful transaction, as set out in its commercial terms. Sellers are always free β AutoHouseIQ never takes the sale proceeds.
- Is my information shared?
- Your contact details are not shared while dealers bid. They are only released to a dealer once you accept a winning offer and the transaction opens. AutoHouseIQ never sells your data.
