Sell your Tesla Model 3
Selling a Tesla Model 3 on AutoHouseIQ starts with the VIN and a record of the version, the range it currently shows, its charging equipment and the software features attached to the car. Add photos and an honest condition record, set a reserve, and dealers approved by our team bid.
Updated
Which Model 3 you have
The Model 3 has been sold in rear-wheel-drive, Long Range all-wheel-drive and Performance versions, with battery and range differing between them and between years. Confirm the version from the vehicle's software screen and your purchase documents, and record the range the car shows at a full charge.
Software features and charging
Some Tesla features are software purchases, such as Enhanced Autopilot or Full Self-Driving capability. Check what the car's screen shows as included and record it as it appears; AutoHouseIQ does not confirm whether a feature transfers with a sale. Record which charging cables and adapters come with the car.
What to photograph
The glass roof, the wheels for curb marks, the tires, the seats and the screen with the car switched on so any alerts show. Gather the title or your lender's details and every key card or key fob. Check the VIN for open recalls on the NHTSA website, noting any already addressed by a software update.
Start with your Model 3's VIN
AutoHouseIQ currently operates in the United States, and sellers and dealers can register from anywhere in the US. Live trading opens as enough dealers approved by our team are ready, so registering does not mean auctions are live in your area yet. Additional countries may open later.
Tesla Model 3 questions
- Does Full Self-Driving capability stay with my Model 3 when I sell it?
- AutoHouseIQ cannot confirm that; it depends on Tesla's own policy. Record what the car's screen shows as included, and dealers bid on that description.
- How should I record my Model 3's battery health?
- Record the range the car shows at a full charge, and any battery service or warranty work. AutoHouseIQ does not estimate battery health; missing information stays missing.
Selling on AutoHouseIQ
- Is AutoHouseIQ a dealer?
- No. AutoHouseIQ is a neutral platform that connects private sellers with dealers approved by our team. It is never the buyer or the seller of a vehicle.
- What happens if nobody bids or the reserve isn't reached?
- There is no sale. You set the reserve, so you are never obliged to sell below it. If the reserve isn't reached, you can relist, adjust or talk through your options with our team.
- How does AutoHouseIQ make money?
- AutoHouseIQ charges a platform fee to the participating dealer on a successful transaction, as set out in its commercial terms. Sellers are always free β AutoHouseIQ never takes the sale proceeds.
- Is my information shared?
- Your contact details are not shared while dealers bid. They are only released to a dealer once you accept a winning offer and the transaction opens. AutoHouseIQ never sells your data.
